Free HP HardwareRecycling Scheme

In partnership with HP, Milnsbridge offer our clients a free hardware recycling program.
Recycling your old and unused hardware through this program ensures the secure destruction of your old data and helps contribute to the global recycling effort. Below are the steps involved with the HP recycling scheme.

HP Recycling Process:

1. Old hardware such as desktops, notebooks and servers get collected by our team and taken to the Milnsbridge workshop.

2. Once received, our workshop technicians remove the hard drives from the various devices, then they are securely and professionally destroyed to protect your data.

3. Afterwards, the hardware is loaded onto pallets and wrapped, ready for collection by HP.

4. Once transferred to the HP processing factory, the hardware gets sorted and dissembled. It is then shredded and ground up.

5. Then, sift through the remains on a conveyor belt. They separate plastics, aluminium, steel and other metals.

6. Materials then get processed into their raw forms, ready to be manufactured into new HP products.

HP’s pioneering closed-loop recycling program is a key component of this effort. To date, HP has used more than 784 million HP cartridges, 4 billion recycled plastic bottles and more than 86 million plastic hangers to manufacture new Original HP ink and toner cartridges. Today, over 80 percent of HP ink cartridges and 100 percent of HP LaserJet toner cartridges contain recycled plastics. In 2017 alone HP recycled over 271,400 tonnes of materials.HP has expanded its closed-loop production to printers, with computers next in line for the switch to closed-loop recycling. Milnsbridge is proud to be part of a conscious environmental effort in reducing our carbon footprint.

Complimentary hardware recycling is just one of many beneficial services provided Milnsbridge, call us on 1300 300 293 today to learn more.
